Notice of Preparation of assessment roll
Notice is hereby given that the assessment roll for the Resort Village of Kivimaa-Moonlight Bay for the year 2025 has been prepared and is open to inspection from March 21, 2025 to May 21, 2025. Please contact us by calling 306-845-3336 or emailing rvkmb@myaccess.ca and we will make the information available to you from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the following days:
Mondays: March 24th and 31st, April 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th, May 5th and 12th
Tuesdays: March 25th, April 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th, May 6th, 13th and 20th
Wednesdays: March 26th, April 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th, May 7th, 14th and 21st
A bylaw pursuant to section 214 of The Municipalities Act has been passed and the assessment notices will be sent as required.
Any person who wishes to appeal against his or her assessment or classification to the Board of Revision is required to file his or her notice of appeal with: Nor-Sask Board Services by email at norsaskboardservices@sasktel.net by the 21st day of May, 2025.

You will be receiving your Tax Assessment Notice in the mail this week. As it was a revaluation year for SAMA, dated from sales for the years 2019 - 2023 were used in calculating assessments. Upon review by administration we have found that some assessments have had large changes. We have included a link to a basic spreadsheet that will help you see the change to your property taxes if mill rates do not change for 2025. As you only have 60 days to appeal to the Board of Revision if you feel a mistake has been made, this may be useful to you. We have also included links to two information sheets from SAMA that may be helpful.

Effective January 1, 2022 all development/building permits will require mandatory building inspections by a qualified building inspector. The Village has chosen Svoboda Homes and JWS Inspections as our building inspectors.

Budget
The Village will require a Local Authority Freedom of Information Policy (LAFOIP) information request form for any information other than that normally disclosed by the Village. There will be a filing fee of $20.00 and a $40.00 per hour (3 hour minimum) charge for administration time which must be paid before work will begin The Village will issue a refund for any unused time. This will ensure that the user of the information is responsible for the cost, rather than the village as a whole subsidizing a ratepayer request. The attached form below must be included with the request.

Fireworks Permits
Permits can be obtained from the office, Mayor or councillors. Completed permits can be handed directly to the Fire Chief,Matthew Herbers, or dropped off at the office .
